Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has finally given her life to Christ and is ready to share her testimony after battling illness for 9 years.

She announced her conversion from Islam to Christianity, dedicating her life to serve Jesus Christ after she was divinely healed from a mysterious ailment that held her down for nine years.

She revealed that she almost died and people tried to kill her, but God saved her. Halima said that she is ready to serve God because He wants her to serve Him and He delivered her.

As part of her healing journey, the movie star is set to give an open testimony about her miraculous healing and how God intervened through the Queen Belemzy Ministries (School of Power) to get her back on her feet.

‎Halima said: “I’m a brand new person now. I have given my life to Christ. I want to serve God because He has helped me. I almost died. They almost killed me. This is not about movies; this is about restoration and testimony. Halima Abubakar is back, big and better.

Right now, I’m ready to serve God because He wants me to. He has delivered me, so I need to serve Him and preach His gospel to the people”.

Earlier this year, she had cried out for help after being ejected from her house by her landlady, despite plans to renew her rent. She also opened up about her health issues, revealing that she is still seeking treatment.

In another post, she cried out to Nigerians for help over her brain surgery. Halima told Nigerians that she is tired of begging and needs money for her brain and spleen surgery.

Last year, Halima had shared a disturbing video of herself, as she offered a prayer to her Maker, noting how God knows best. The once-talented actress stated that her tears and pains wouldn’t be in vain.

In another post, the movie star admitted she was struggling, saying she was tired of begging. Sharing her account details, she urged Nigerians to help her.

Taking to her comment section, Saidi Balogun and Halima Abubakar had prayed for her.

Recall that in 2024, Halima was suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria for defamation of her colleagues and other high-profile Nigerians. She was accused of slandering her colleagues and patrons and having extramarital affairs with a highly profiled individual in society.

Following the suspension, Halima issued an apology to Apostle Johnson Suleman for defaming him and causing various harm to his ministry and family. The actress acknowledged every falsehood she made against the cleric, admitted to her false allegations, and sought his forgiveness. She also expressed deep regrets for tarnishing his image hoping her letter could repair the damage to an extent.
