“The Child Is The Gift”- Temi Ajibade Reacts As Mr Eazi Asks For Push Gift

Billionaire heiress Temi Otedola has shared her thoughts on the idea of fathers receiving push gifts after her husband, Nigerian singer Mr Eazi, jokingly requested one ahead of the arrival of their child.

The couple discussed the topic during a recent episode of TheHowFarPodcast, where Mr Eazi asked what his own push gift would be when they welcome their baby.

Responding to his question, Temi explained that the birth of their child should be considered the greatest gift for him, stating, “The child is the gift for you, you don’t need a gift.”

However, Mr Eazi insisted that fathers should also be considered for such gestures, saying, “I think I also need a gift,” while questioning why men should not receive push gifts despite being part of the journey to parenthood.

Temi disagreed with his argument, pointing out that the term “push gift” is traditionally associated with mothers because of the physical experience of pregnancy and childbirth.

“Then you should campaign for it because you haven’t even pushed anything, you didn’t even do any pushing,” she told him.

Her response sparked conversations about whether fathers should also receive gifts after the birth of a child, with many sharing different opinions on the role of appreciation in celebrating both parents during the journey into parenthood.
