Nollywood actress Anita Joseph’s ex-husband, MC Fish, and his new girlfriend, Gbemso, have cleared the air on their recent statement.
Kemi Filani reported that MC Fish had called out his ex-wife for frustrating their divorce process so he could erase her from his life. He admonished her to stop hiding the CTC and let him get his freedom.
Now, in a joint statement on their Instagram page, MC Fish and his girlfriend clarified that there weren’t any threats. According to them, the statement to ‘erase you ‘ referred to bringing his chapter with Anita to a legal close.
He said he has repeatedly requested a copy of the marriage certificate so the legal process can move forward. Still, the phone number provided on the cease-and-desist letter doesn’t exist.
MC Fish added that he doesn’t understand why they have to pay exorbitant additional costs to obtain a document that already exists and is in Anita’s possession.
He emphasised that he intends to move on, and his focus remains on resolving the matter through the proper legal process, not on social media.
His new girlfriend days ago, shared alleged messages about Anita Joseph, noting how her attackers have started again. Gbemso told haters to leave her and her man alone if they want rest.
Recall that in December of last year, Joseph had finally confirmed that her marriage had ended, noting how life has a way of testing our strength in ways we never expect, especially in marriage. She revealed that she has been walking through a season of deep reflection, pain, and healing, and was choosing grace, growth, and faith.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Fish said he doesn’t regret getting married at 27 because he felt happy and respected. The hype man said he saw everything he wanted in a marriage, hence why he married the actress. He said he learnt from his failed marriage that honesty is vital in any relationship from both parties.
While weighing in on Frank Edoho’s marital saga, MC Fish admitted that both he and Anita were unfaithful during their relationship. He claimed the actress cheated on him with multiple men, whose names he wouldn’t mention, and he wasn’t a saint either.
Earlier this year, photos and videos of the MC and his new girlfriend had gone viral online, drawing backlash from netizens.
Addressing it, MC Fish said life has always been unfair to men, and he stands by his point. He noted how if a woman leaves a relationship and finds another man, people will say she found happiness, but it is different for a man, as he would be accused of cheating on his wife with his new partner.
In a shading post, he stated that he was glad that, despite all the allegations about him, no one has said he isn’t good in bed.
Also speaking out, Gbemso made it clear that she didn’t wreck his marriage; when she met him, he was single, and they started their relationship. According to her, both of them dated people in the past who didn’t appreciate them. She said that when they found each other, and it was so beautiful.
