The allegation originated with a post on BowTied Biohacker’s X account, an anonymous creator linked with the BoTied Biohacking collective that gives news and updates on bodybuilding, nutrition, and supplements.
According to some stories, Connor Murphy drowned in Thailand. RIP. “Thank you for all the laughs and top-tier schizo posts,” the X account stated. “You were much smarter than anyone knew. Enjoy some authentic Divine Protein Shakes up there, king.”
Murphy, who now has over 300,000 Instagram followers alone, catapulted to prominence in 2016 with his phony shirt trick. Even as death rumors circulated, his social media accounts show that he shared a clip four days earlier with a skit.

Bodybuilder Tony Hughes Gives Update
Tony Hughes, an Apple TV-famous bodybuilder and friend of Connor Murphy, shared an update on the news of his death. He prepared a video claiming Murphy drowned in a lake in Bangkok.
“Connor Murphy was living on a golf course in Bangkok, and it’s very beautiful, and he has a nice house there,” Hughes stated. “It’s right on the water. His back balcony overlooks the lake, as evidenced by his Instagram feed and postings.
“Eventually, he drowned in his private lake. Many other factors contributed to his death, but drowning was the final cause. Until his death, he believed he had accomplished some superhuman abilities.”

Despite the lack of confirmation, the rumor spread so widely on social media that many of the influencer’s fans believed he had died.
Condolence messages are being posted on Instagram, and comments on his posts have erupted.
