In a previous post, he relived his five decades of committed practice in the industry with an old photo of himself and some of his colleagues from their prime. He expressed gratitude for His unending blessings, noting that actors can never retire; they only get tired.

Oga Bello, as he is fondly known, had opened up on his health battle, revealing that he had been battling hypertension for more than 40 years. Femi Adebayo’s father noted that old age always comes with various health challenges, which he had accepted. However, he was seeking God’s grace to enjoy the rest of his life in good health.

Earlier this year, his son, Femi, was left humbled by the presence of Babatunde Fashola and other dignitaries at the premiere of his father’s movie. He expressed how honoured he was to receive them, and expressed gratitude for the support, honour, and presence of greatness.

At Salami’s movie premiere and 60-year celebration in the industry, Sola Sobowale paid tribute to Salami for his support towards her over the years. She credited him with helping her get to where she is today and praised the legend for being a man of action, substance, and giving.

During one of his birthdays, Tunde Kelani penned special greetings to him. Noting that Oga Bello is his dear friend and brother, TK prayed for the guidance and abundant blessings of God on him, urging him to enjoy his day.

Last  year, Adebayo Salami, alongside his colleagues, Jide Kosoko, and Patience Ozokwo were honored with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Theatre and Media Arts from the same University. This was to celebrate their illustrious careers and contributions to the entertainment industry.

When Femi won big at AMVCA, he honoured his father by presenting him with his trophies. Femi stated that his father is the foundation of where he started, as he revealed that his parents’ sacrifices, prayers, and love made him who he is and declared that without them, there wouldn’t be him.

Two years ago, Femi penned a heartwarming tribute to celebrate his father’s dedication to his project. Adebayo appreciated his father for being a boss, friend, confidant, and thanked him for showing the right way. Femi revealed that he can never be tired of admiring his father’s dedication to him.

In another post, the box office king, while sharing photos of them twinning in matching outfits, expressed how glad he was to celebrate his father, whom he considers his mentor and closest friend. According to him, he doesn’t play with his partnership with his father, as he reemphasised that his father deserves to be celebrated every day.

For his 70th birthday in 2022, Femi had showered him with love and prayers. He eulogised him, describing him as his best friend, confidant, friend, aproko partner, and his everything and expressed thanksgiving and joy.

He and his siblings had moved him to tears with their emotional birthday surprise. Adebayo Salami, who seldom cries, couldn’t hold emotions after he was cheered out of the house by neighbours, his wives and his kids to receive the brand-new SUV vehicle.
