You Are My Don for Life – Chief Priest Pays Emotional Tribute to Obi Cubana

Celebrity barman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Chief Priest, has paid an emotional tribute to businessman Obi Cubana, crediting him for playing a pivotal role in his journey to success.

In a lengthy social media post celebrating a decade of working together, Chief Priest reflected on how his career changed after Obi Cubana brought Opium Cubana to Owerri in 2016.

According to him, he did not merely work at the establishment but contributed to its growth, describing himself as “the motion of the business” as the nightlife brand recorded massive success.

Chief Priest recounted how Obi Cubana expanded his business empire within a few years, establishing Pablo Cubana in Victoria Island, Lagos, followed by Montana Cubana in Ikeja and Gustavo Cubana in Enugu, while also managing other hospitality businesses, including Cubana Suites, Crave Cubana, Habit, Liquor Empire and Cubana Hotels.

Describing Obi Cubana as a “business machine” and a “walking blessing,” Chief Priest praised his entrepreneurial drive, willingness to take risks and ability to execute ambitious projects.

He also expressed gratitude for the opportunities he received under Obi Cubana’s mentorship, saying he gained access to valuable business contacts, industry relationships and life lessons that helped shape his own career.

Chief Priest stressed the importance of apprenticeship, encouraging young people to embrace service, learning and personal development before seeking leadership.

“The lesson for today is value. Be a man of value. I did not just meet him; I came to serve, learn and grow myself. When you are working for someone, you are working for yourself,” he wrote.

He concluded by reaffirming his loyalty and appreciation to Obi Cubana, describing him as his “Don for life” and thanking him for the role he has played in his success over the past decade.
