Gov Peter Mbah of Enugu State has applauded the Coordinator of Progressive Movement for Peter Mbah (PM4PM) in Enugu North Senatorial District, Hon. Ochendo Chikamso Onyishi and his team for mobilising people from the district to endorse his second tenure bid.
Mbah made the commendation on Saturday in Nsukka in endorsement rally organized by Nsukka Zone of PM4PM, that was massively attended by the six local government areas that up Enugu North Senatorial District; Nsukka, Igboeze-South, Igboeze-North, Udenu, Iigboetiti and Uzowani.
Gov Mbah who was represented by Prof Chidiebere Onyia, the Secretary to Enugu State Government (SSG) said the huge crowd in the rally has shown that the Coordinator of PM4PM in Nsukka zone has the capacity and trust of the people.
“I commend the organisers for mobilising this huge crowd for this rally because of achievements of Mbah’s administration since assumption of office in May 29, 2023.
“There is no vacancy in Enugu State Lion Building in 2027 because Gov Mbah has done very well in first tenure and should go for second tenure.
“Enugu State people gave former Gov Chimaroke Nnamani, Gov Sullivan Chime and Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi first and second tenure, Enugu State will also give Gov Mbah first and second tenure.
” The traditional Rulers in Enugu State recently endorsed Gov Mbah for second because of his good governance and massive infrastructures in the state,” Onyia said.
Speaking, the Coordinator of PM4PM in Nsukka zone Hon. Ochendo Chikamso Onyishi said the movement decided to endorse Gov Mbah for second tenure because the governor has done very well both in governance and providing quality massive infrastructures to Enugu State people.
“Gov Mbah is also doing very well in Nsukka Senatorial District where the all wards have Smart School, quality hospitals, road projects among other things the governor is doing.
“We endorsed Gov. Peter Mbah to be re-elected in 2027, so that he will continue his good work in Enugu State
“Nsukka district will give Mbah 100 per cent votes in 2027 general elections because he has done very well and Nsukka people have benefited immensely from his administration,” he said
In a remark, Prof. George Ugwu, the Commissioner of Health in Enugu State who spoke on behalf of other commissioners and appointees from Nsukka zone highlighted the quality achievements of Gov Mbah in health and other sectors of the economy.
“Gov Mbah has made it possible that Nsukka people now have University Teaching Hospital at the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS) Igbo-Eno, Enugu State.
“I commend Ochendo and his team for this wonderful endorsement rally for Gov.Mbah.
“Nsukka district will vote massively for Gov Mbah’s second tenure in 2027 general elections because Nsukka people have benefited immensely from his administration and will benefit more in future,” Ugwu said.
Earlier in remark on behalf of the six council chairmen in Enugu North Senatorial District, Chief Chinedu Asogwa, the Chairman of Nsukka Local Govenment Council said that, Gov Mbah is like a good product that does not need advertisement, as the governor has transformed Enugu State greatly with infrastructures since he assumed office.
“Gov Mbah has done very well both in governance and providing quality infrastructures to Enugu State people.
” I commend PM4PM in Nsukka zone for this rally, the huge crowd here today is also a testament that everybody in the zone has endorsed Gov Mbah second tenure in 2027 general elections,”he said.
Our correspondent reports that, the rally was well attended by people from six local government areas that made up Enugu North Senatorial District including traditional rulers.
