
The immediate past Commissioner for Health and Human services,.Mr.Felix Tangwami, Friday, officially declared his intention to contest for the gubernatorial seat of Adamawa state, under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
Declaring his intention at a press conference in Yola, Tangwami said that he is in the race to consolidate progress, strengthen unity and build a more prosperous future for the people of Adamawa state and its development.
He noted that, having been in the business of improving lives and correcting anomalies caused by bad governance over the years,where he served in different leadership positions in the state, during both the military and civilian, era he has gathered the needed skills, competence, capacity and experiences to take Adamawa to the promised land.
Tangwami further noted that Adamawa in the last 6 years have witnessed tremendous progress which have changed the development trajectory of the state especially in the areas of infrastructure, human capital development, rural urban development, health, education among others, hence the need for his election.
He unveiled his agenda to include infrastructures, education, health, agriculture, commerce and industry, environment, civil service reform, housing development, security ,peace and unity among diverse tribes in the state.
He added that his leadership will be guided by fairness, justice and inclusivity and that his appointments,policies and programmes will reflect the diversity for which Adamawa state is known for noting that, he will also promote interfaith dialogue, mutual respect and unity at all levels.
