Access Holdings Plc has distanced itself from a circulating “financial highlight” tied to its 2025 audited accounts, clarifying that the document was released by an unauthorized source ahead of its official publication.
In a statement addressing investors and the wider public, the company stressed that its audited financial statements are still undergoing final regulatory review by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), although approval has already been secured from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
It emphasized that the leaked summary does not represent its official financial disclosure.
“The company hereby expressly disclaims the said financial highlight and urges the investing public to disregard the same as it is unauthorized,” Access Holdings stated, reaffirming its commitment to transparency and regulatory compliance.
The group noted that its full-year audited results for 2025 will be released on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) within 48 hours after receiving final clearance from the CBN. Currently, its most recent published financials remain the unaudited nine-month results for the period ending September 30, 2025.
This development follows a disclosure dated March 31, 2026, in which the company confirmed it had obtained SEC approval to publish its audited accounts, subject to CBN sign-off.
Earlier, in February, the SEC had granted an extension for the filing of the results until March 31, contingent on the same regulatory approval—highlighting the multi-layered oversight structure governing banks and financial holding companies in Nigeria.
The anticipated full-year results come on the back of a solid nine-month performance. Access Holdings reported a 10.4 percent year-on-year increase in profit before tax, reaching N616.2 billion.
The growth was largely driven by strong interest income, which rose to N2.9 trillion from N2.3 trillion in the corresponding period.
Loans and advances to customers contributed N1.3 trillion, while investment securities added N1.13 trillion, underscoring the group’s core earnings strength.
