The internal crisis rocking Adamawa state chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) which has since polarised the party into 3 antagonistic camps, has taken a new dimension on Wednesday, with the faction loyal to Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed popularly known as Binani, rejecting last week’s party congresses which returned Hon.Sadiq Dasin as the  state party chairman.

They also accused the party national vice chairman,  North East, Engr. Babachir David Lawal, a former Secretary to the Government of the federation of conniving with the transition committee to deny them participation in the congresses.

Addressing supporters in Yola, Binani said at a party stakeholders meeting convened in Abuja at the resident of former vice president Atiku Abubakar, a sharing formula among different factions was agreed upon but on reaching Yola the arrangement was discarded and Dasin committee in collaboration with others went ahead to secretly conducted their congresses  which excluded them.

She urged her supporters to exercise patience by giving them one week to  take up the issues at the highest level to see if the problem will be resolved amicably, failure of which they will come back to meet their supporters to decide their next political move.

Also speaking, senator Ahmed Barata noted the essence of the gathering was to intimate their supporters on happenings in the party and put them on alert to await further directives.

He accused the party of meting injustice on them since they joined the party, stressing that the party was unpopular until Binani joined the party.
