The Chairman Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Senior Comrade (Dr) Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde has revamped Igando Primary School as a steady step towards boosting quality education.

Senior Comrade Akinsanya while commenting on the project, said the council has embarked on the rehabilitation and renovation of Igando primary school and other schools within the locality to enhance the quality of education.

The project, which includes the rehabilitation of a block of classrooms and staff offices, is part of the council’s initiative to revamp primary school infrastructure in Igando and across Igando-Ikotun LCDA in general in line with the agenda of Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwoolu

Akinsanya described education as a cornerstone for meaningful development, especially at the third tier of governance.

“This renovation project demonstrates our unwavering commitment to enhancing education facilities and creating a conducive learning environment for school pupils and teachers in this council,” Comrade Akinsanya said.

He noted that access to quality education is not a privilege for a few but a fundamental right of every child in the area.

“Our children deserve the best learning environment possible. No child in Igando ikotun should be denied quality education because of dilapidated infrastructure,” he stated.

The renovation work at Igando Primary School is being executed with close attention to detail, ensuring not only structural improvements but also the provision of modern learning facilities.

Akinsanya added: “Education is the most powerful investment we can make in the future of our children. When we build schools, we are building dreams; and when we renovate classrooms, we are restoring hope.

“My administration will continue to prioritize education because that is where true development begins.”

He further explained that his efforts complement the Agenda of Governor Sanwoolu Babajide which emphasizes sustainable human development, and align with the Renewed Hope vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“What we are doing in Igando ikotun is domesticating these progressive policies at the grassroots, ensuring that national and state visions are translated into tangible benefits for our people,” he added.

The renovation projects are expected to be completed in the coming weeks, just in time for the new academic session.
