The coordinator Borno Community North East association (BOCNE’) North East zone, Alhaji Bulama Hassan, has applauded the Emir of Biu, Alhaji Dr. Mustapha Umar Mustapha, for his leadership and fatherly role in moving the Emirate and the Borno state forward.

According to the statement, Alhaji Hassan stated this during the turbaning of a daughter of the Emirate and the the executive secretary of Kwaya kusar area council Hajiya Larai Umar Mustapha as the Majira Biu, an adviser to the Emirate council.
He urged Governor Babagana Umara Zulum to continue to support the development of Biu Emirate in the area of agriculture and livestocks production.
The zonal also urged Zulum to support the completion of Biu Dam in the zone covering about 4 areas councils; Biu, Kwaya Kusar, Hauwal Bayo area to boost food security in the area and state.
Alhaji Hassan said Biu is central as a food basket in the North-east, urging the state government and the North-east Development Commission to support the completion of Biu Dam.
He appealed to the governor to write his name in gold by heading for the completion of the Biu Dam which could create employment to the youths in the Emirate.
Hassan further applauded the Emir of Biu for maintaining peace and security in his domain with the support of relevant security agencies and the governor.
Hassan urged the youths and elders in the Emirate to support government programmey in agriculture and livestock, charging them to be good ambassadors of the emirate and Borno state in general.
Hassan concluded by tasking the resident of Biu irrespective of religion to support government programmes, remain dedicated to live in peace and say no drugs abuse in order to build a strong Emirate and the state.
