The Area Regional Manager of Triacta Nigeria Construction Company, Mr. Fadi Abi, confirmed on Friday in Damaturu that the Damaturu flyover project was now on an extended timeline, with a new completion date set in December 2026.
The contractor assured that works would be ongoing in order to meet up with the new timeline, despite the rise in the costs of diesel.
“Our continuation period for this flyover project is the end of 2026. This phase has finished with 100% concrete work and paving,” he said.
According to him, “Many contractors have halted due to diesel costs and the war, but we continue. Our equipment is fully operational. We have not paused.”
He noted that the flyover was part of a larger scheme that included the Potiskum-Maiduguri Road duplication, with full drainage and road overlay across the entire zone.
