
Alhaji Mohammed Ndarani, SAN, a renowned legal luminary and All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant for Niger South, Niger state, has donated 500 bags of 50kg rice to Christians across the zone to support their Easter celebrations.
Ndarani said the gesture was aimed at cushioning the economic burden on Christian faithful and enabling them to celebrate the Easter season with joy and dignity.
Speaking with newsmen in Bida on the initiative, the senior advocate explained that the rice was distributed to churches, APC chieftains and key stakeholders across the Niger South senatorial district.
He noted that Easter represents a season of sacrifice, love and hope, values which he said should inspire citizens to support one another, especially during challenging economic times.
The learned silk added that the gesture was also part of efforts to support the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the developmental initiatives of Niger State Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago, aimed at improving the welfare of citizens.
According to him, the donation reflects his commitment to promoting unity, compassion and peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths in the zone.
Ndarani emphasised that acts of kindness and community support were necessary in building a stronger and more inclusive society.
He urged Christians to use the Easter period to pray for peace, unity and progress in Niger State and Nigeria at large.
The APC aspirant reaffirmed his dedication to the welfare of the people of Niger South, pledging to continue supporting initiatives that uplift communities and improve the wellbeing of residents across the senatorial district.
Beneficiaries of the donation expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and supportive as families were able to celebrate the Easter with ease.
