Recounting his experience as an ordinary .... resident before assuming office, the governor said the gridlock across the state capital was something he witnessed and suffered firsthand.

“People are crying, even me when I used to be on the street I used to cry, why am I staying in one place for 3, 5 hours,” he said.

Okphebolo disclosed that upon becoming governor, he made a personal commitment to confront the crisis decisively. His administration has since embarked on several major infrastructure projects, including the construction of flyovers at the Rama Park axis, statewide road rehabilitation, and a comprehensive stormwater drainage intervention targeting erosion-prone areas across the state.

The governor assured residents that the ongoing projects are built to last between 30 and 50 years, dismissing concerns about quality and project overload.

He also defended the procurement process, stating that contracts were awarded to companies with proven track records and competitive bids, with CCNC emerging as the lowest bidder on the flyover project.…READ / MORE…
