FCT: New Tyoor tasks Tiv community on peace, unity in Gwagwalada

The newly installed Tyoor in Tiv community of Gwagwalada area council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Chief Samuel Tyohuna, Thursday charged the Tiv community to live in peace and unity to ensure sustainable development of the area.

Chief Tyohuna who gave the charge at his residence during the celebration of his coronation as Tyoor Tiv community, quarters ward, Gwagwalada-Abuja, said the community can only achieve accelerated and sustainable development when the people are united.

Commending and appreciating the organisers for the celebration and commitment, he enjoined other well-meaning indigenes of the kingdom to emulate the initiative for the growth of the community.

He said the celebration was a rallying point for the people of the kingdom, adding that, it was also helping in promoting peace and unity among the people.

He charged his subjects, residents, and the youth to prioritise unity, peace and tolerance to ensure community development.

He specifically appealed to the youth in the area to coexist peacefully, shun violence, protect community property, and support the government’s efforts to ensure sustainable progress in the area.
