The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command, on Wednesday, secured the conviction of 25 traffic offenders during a mobile court session held at the RS2.2 Sector Command headquarters.
The offenses centered on safety breaches, including overloading, seatbelt infractions, speed limit device, drivers license violations, vehicle license, number plate, among other violations.
DAILY POST learnt that the court proceedings, presided over by Her Worship, Chief Magistrate O.T. Odubanjo, focused on enforcing road discipline and curbing critical safety violations across major operational corridors in the state.
According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, Odunsi Afolabi, a total number of 46 offenses were fined and none of the offender were sentenced to imprisonment.
Meanwhile, the State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi emphasized that the mobile court exercise remains a vital component of the command’s sustained enforcement strategy to reduce road traffic crashes and fatalities.
“The zero-discharge rate underscores the precision of the FRSC’s enforcement and the court’s commitment to holding traffic violators accountable.
“This exercise serves as a stern reminder to motorists that the Command remains vigilant in its ‘Zero Tolerance’ approach to road traffic infractions to ensure the safety of lives and property,” Ogunjobi added.
