The Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, has declared his support for the re-election bid of Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson to the Federal House of Representatives, stressing the need for continuity in leadership and sustained developmental strides across the Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

The council boss made this position known while reacting to a recent publication, noting that the claims contained therein do not reflect the true position of the good people of Imota LCDA and Ikorodu Division as a whole.

Hon. Benson described Rep. Babajimi Benson as a visionary leader whose legislative contributions and grassroots engagement have significantly impacted the lives of his constituents. He noted that the lawmaker’s track record of performance, particularly in infrastructure development, education, and youth empowerment, justify his bid for a fourth term in office.

According to him, the call for continuity goes beyond politics and is anchored on the visible progress recorded under the federal lawmaker representation.

He stressed that discontinuing such leadership at this stage could disrupt ongoing projects and stall the momentum of development currently being experienced across the constituency.

The council boss further emphasized the need to consolidate on the gains achieved over the years, pointing out that sustainable development requires consistent leadership with a clear understanding of the people’s needs. He urged party faithful and residents alike to remain united and committed to the collective goal of advancing the community’s welfare.

The Chairman also commended the synergy between Rep. Benson and the six council chairmen in Ikorodu Division, stating that the collaboration has facilitated the execution of numerous people-oriented initiatives.

He expressed confidence that a renewed mandate for Rep. Babajimi Benson would further strengthen this partnership and bring about more dividends of democracy.

The Imota LCDA Chairman, therefore, called on residents of the council area to support candidates with proven integrity, competence, and a demonstrated commitment to public service.
