Former presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dumebi Kachikwu, Wednesday came down heavily on the Senator David Mark-led faction of the party.

The leaders include former vice president of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former governor of Anambra state, Mr Peter Obi,  former Minister of Transport, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, former governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, party leader,  Chief John Oyegun  and a host of others.

He described them as political merchants, clueless and desperate.

He wondered how men with abysmal records in public service can say they are on a rescue mission to rescue their personal economies.

He said they will never succeed in taking over the ADC or using the ADC as a platform to prosecute their political vendetta.

Dumebi spoke in Abuja, while briefing newsmen over developments in the party.

He faulted the Mark-led ADC  for going ahead to hold a convention in the name of the party despite the position of the court which stated that parties in the ensuing legal brawl before it should “maintain status quo ante bellum.”

While restating his stance over the group, Dumebi dismissed the convention, saying it has no locus standi before the law.

The former presidential candidate of the party, decried what he termed, “political gangsterism” by the ADC group, and cautioned them against instigating a complete breakdown of law and order in the country through political gangsterism.

He charged President Bola Tinubu against distraction while stating the need to unite the country.
