
A former two-term federal lawmaker, Hon. Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande, has Sunday, formally declared his intention to return as member, House of Representatives, to represent Jos North/Bassa federal constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hon Kwande made the declaration while addressing party elders, stakeholders, supporters, and select journalists, at Bishop Court conference hall, in Jos.
The ex-lawmaker expressed a strong sense of responsibility, describing himself as “a son of the soil who understands the challenges and aspirations of the people.
“I stand before you with humility and gratitude. I am not a stranger to you. I am a product of this land, shaped by your struggles and inspired by your strength,” he said.
Hon. Kwande said his past experience gave him a clear advantage in delivering results and advancing the interests of the constituents.
“As a former two-term Member, I have the advantage of knowing exactly where to push for speedy delivery of results. I have remained committed to the development of our people, supporting initiatives that empower our youth, promote unity, and bring relief to our communities,” Kwande stressed.
