Qatar declared on Sunday that all ships and maritime vessels could resume full navigation in its seas. The transport ministry of the Gulf country issued a statement on the matter.

According to a ministry statement on X, ships will be permitted to navigate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time. The action coincides with the oil and gas markets, keeping a careful eye on the continuing negotiations between the US and Iran in Pakistan and waiting for any sign that the turmoil in the area will lessen.

Following an Iranian attack in early March, Qatar closed the largest LNG export facility in the world, and its tankers haven’t crossed the Strait of Hormuz since the conflict essentially closed the canal more than a month ago.
