The lawmaker representing Apapa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Adesola Samuel Adedayo, has called on constituents to support the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while reinforcing his education drive with the distribution of desks and benches to public schools in the constituency.

The appeal was made on Friday, 17 April ,2026, during an official presentation ceremony in Apapa, where the intervention was unveiled as part of efforts aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President.

The initiative, according to the lawmaker, targets infrastructure gaps in public schools, while also underscoring the need for sustained national support to consolidate ongoing reforms in the education sector and beyond.

He told the residents that for more of such positive interventions, there is need for them not to relent in their support for President Tinubu.

“President Tinubu has performed extremely well, we could not have been able to do this without his government’s assistance. If want more of this, then we must not relent in our support for him,” the Rep Member said.

Adedayo stressed that education remains central to his legislative priorities, even as he linked local interventions to broader federal policies under the Tinubu administration.

He noted that meaningful progress in a competitive, technology-driven world requires deliberate investment, adding that continued support for the President would ensure policy continuity and expanded opportunities.

“Since my assumption of office, the education of our younger generation has been one of my topmost priorities,” he said, while urging constituents to back the administration driving similar initiatives nationwide.

Furthermore, he described education as “the best legacy a society can bequeath to her younger generation,” insisting that sustained development would depend on collective commitment to both leadership and policy direction.

“The future we envisage will not evolve unless deliberate and decisive steps are taken now to plant the right seeds for the tomorrow we desire,” he added.

In outlining his scorecard, the lawmaker highlighted several interventions, including the facilitation of admissions for students into Queens College, Yaba, and Federal Government Girls College, Sagamu.

He also cited the distribution of laptops to tertiary students and the construction of a six-classroom block in Sari Iganmu as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure.

Additionally, he disclosed that 250 JAMB forms were procured for candidates, complemented by free tutorial classes for the 2026/2027 examination cycle, thereby expanding access to higher education.

At the national level, he noted that he raised a motion of urgent public importance on the plight of Bilateral Education Agreement scholars, prompting intervention from both the legislative and executive arms of government.

Adedayo revealed that over 300 students from the constituency have secured admission into tertiary institutions through his facilitation efforts, while others continue to benefit from financial support across institutions nationwide.

Significantly, he stated that the distribution of desks and benches represents the second phase of such intervention. “I would like to place it on record that what we are doing today is the second time for this particular intervention,” he said.
