The lawmaker representing Oyo South Senatorial district, Senator Sarafadeen Alli, on Friday said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had changed the country’s narrative to that of renewed hope and greater tomorrow.
Alli stated this in Ibadan while declaring his intention to run for governor on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He lauded President Tinubu’s courage in reforming Nigeria, saying “your courage in reforming Nigeria inspires us to be bold in Oyo.”
“To our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, your courage in reforming Nigeria inspires us to be bold in Oyo. We will carry the banner of ‘progress’ with pride and integrity.
“I wish to place on record that I remain committed to the progressive values and committed to the public good. God bless you, Mr. President, for changing our country’s narrative to that of renewed hope and greater tomorrow,” he said.
On his governorship ambition, he said, “This is not about ambition alone, it is about responsibility; it is about service; it is about the future and prosperity of the good people of Oyo state.
“I stand before you today with a heart full of gratitude, a spirit lifted by hope, and a resolve anchored in service. Today is not merely a date on the calendar, today is a turning point and declaration of purpose. A new dawn is here, a call to service.”
