President Trump is reportedly sending special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Pakistan this weekend for talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Vice President JD Vance is not currently expected to attend, though he is said to remain on standby to travel to Islamabad if negotiations show progress.
Members of Vance’s staff are also expected to be on the ground in Pakistan and participate in the talks, according to the report.
