According to him, concerns had been mounting  .... over certain resolutions and directives issued by the NWC, which some stakeholders believe may have bypassed due process or failed to reflect broad-based consultation within the party structure.

“We went to court to challenge the decision of the NWC because we believe in the supremacy of the party’s constitution,” Obinna stated; “This is about ensuring that no organ of the party operates above established rules and democratic principles.”

He further noted that the objective of  .... the lawsuit is to seek judicial interpretation on contentious issues, restore confidence among party members, and set a clear precedent for accountability within the leadership hierarchy.

However, Obinna insisted that the legal route remains the most appropriate and civil mechanism for resolving disputes of such magnitude; He expressed optimism that the court’s intervention would ultimately strengthen the party by reinforcing transparency and respect for institutional processes.
