The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has claimed to have received a divine revelation from God affirming that his mighty hands are upon President Bola Tinubu.
NOP NIGERIA reports that Umahi made the remarks in Enugu State, during the opening of the Eke Obinagu, Emene flyover, a project aimed at easing congestion ahead of the Easter celebrations.
Umahi said there is no more marginalisation in the Southeast region because they are now actively represented in the administration of Tinubu.
According to the minister, the region holds key positions, including his role as Minister of Works and the appointment of two service chiefs.
He said, “God has spoken to me that His mighty hands are upon President Bola Tinubu. Our people must be strategic.
“The marginalization we’re talking about is over. For the first time, we’re in the helm of affairs.”
Umahi emphasised the need to support Tinubu’s administration, despite the Southeast aspiration to produce a president in the future.
He further urged political leaders in the Southeast region to openly declare their support for the president and mobilise their constituents accordingly.
He added, “I want to plead with Southeast leaders to be bold in convincing our people on the need to vote for Mr President. If you’re a leader in the Southeast and you’re not vocal in the declaration, then you’re not for us.”
