The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, on Tuesday, witnessed the defection of eight lawmakers elected on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party to the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the National Assembly in Abuja.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa.
