Drama is heating up ahead of the 2027 elections as APC insider Eze Chukwuemeka Eze publicly challenged President Bola Tinubu, urging him to allow real-time electronic transmission of election results.
Eze questioned why a president who claims popularity and victory in 2023 now fears technology that ensures transparency. According to him, the 2027 polls should be about liberating Nigerians from “bad governance” and not about political manipulation.
He praised Nigerians for rejecting the Senate’s anti-electronic transmission stance and lauded figures like Rotimi Amaechi and Peter Obi for mobilizing citizens to safeguard democracy.
Eze didn’t mince words: anyone opposing real-time election results, he said, is “an enemy of democracy.” He slammed reliance on outdated election methods, insisting technology must finally deliver free, fair, and seamless elections in Nigeria.
