According to a video posted on YouTube by Morayo Afolabi Brown Show on Friday, May 15, 2026, Dele Momodu, the publisher of Ovation Magazine and a prominent chieftain of African Democratic Congress (ADC), has revealed that he counselled former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to exercise patience following his recent departure from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Reflecting on his relationship with the former Anambra State governor, the media entrepreneur emphasized that the two share a close bond and have engaged in several direct, high-level political conversations.

He highlighted the unique rapport they share, noting that Obi is the only presidential aspirant who has personally visited him across his various residences in Nigeria, Ghana, and London.

Momodu explained that during their private deliberations, he strongly advised Obi against making impulsive political moves in the wake of his exit from the ADC-backed coalition, using familiar wisdom to drive home the importance of timing in Nigerian politics.
