The death of Alice Riang’a, aka Sabby, a second-year Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) student, left the nation in shock.

Sabby was murdered and her body dumped in a forest in Bondo town, Siaya County. Her body was discovered decomposing inside Bar Kowino Forest four days after she went missing.
Autopsy results showed that the student died from blunt force trauma to the head. The autopsy report also indicated that she was assaulted.

1. Was Alice Riang’a in a relationship?
After the 20-year-old student’s death, her main boyfriend, Sam Felix, popularly known as Salvoguy, took to social media to mourn her.
He penned touching messages, reminiscing about their good old days, admitting that he was heartbroken by Sabby’s death.
The university student’s long-time lover, Salvo, shared photos from their happier times, accompanied by a tearjerking message mourning her.
“Why, Sabby? Rest well my love 💔💔💔. Your inestimable love and humanity at large will never be forgotten. You are engraved in our hearts, and there you’ll be treasured for the rest of our lives,” read one of Salvo’s messages.
Salvo even shared a video deep in prayer, asking God for strength as he tries to come to terms with his partner’s death.

Shockingly, another man, reported to be Alice’s boyfriend, was arrested in connection with the murder of the student.

The man, a Tanzanian gold dealer identified as Maximillian John Madeni, according to colleagues and friends of the JOOUST student, was last seen with Alice before she disappeared. The foreigner is being held by the police as investigations continue.
2. Alice Riang’a’s vacations with boyfriend
Salvo shared photos of them at different places in Nairobi and Kilifi County during their baecations.

The slain student was from a humble family and was a secondborn in a family of five. After Sabby’s death, her father, Richard Kiage, while speaking to NTV, recalled his last relationship with his daughter before she disappeared.
“She told me rent was due on May 10 and said she knew I had a lot of things to take but was just reminding me,” Kiage recalled.

According to online reports, the deceased’s family knew about Salvo and had no idea the 20-year-old was dating another man.
In April this year, Salvo shared a video of them enjoying a boat ride in Diani wearing matching outfits, which seems to have been their last vacation before Sabby met her tragic death.

The second-year JOOUST student lived a happy and luxurious life. After her death, her photos posing at Diani airport and videos of her partying with friends and even flashing wads of cash emerged.

Where was Alice Riang’a last seen before disappearing?
In another story, a leaked chat from a friend shared the exact date Alice went missing and her friend’s frantic efforts to find her.
The friend in the WhatsApp chat also revealed that the late student had stayed at Purple Gate and was last seen on May 7. A roommate repo
Her phone was also off after she was last seen, and her parents informed the authorities that she had not been home and her phone had since. Her roommate, Kayla Wanyonyi, then filed a missing person’s report, only for her description to match a body recovered a day before, which belonged to the slain student.
