Alice, a second-year Bachelor of Education Science student, was found dead at Barkowino Forest in Bondo.

Her body was discovered days after she was reported missing on May 6, leaving her family and friends deeply distressed and searching for answers.

When was Alice Riang’a buried?

The JOOUST student was laid to rest on May 22, 2026, in an emotional funeral ceremony.

Images shared online captured heartbreaking scenes as mourners broke down in tears while viewing her body.

Some relatives were seen hugging her coffin and wailing, while others stood nearby visibly overwhelmed by grief over the loss of such a young life.

Students from JOOUST attended the burial in large numbers to bid their colleague farewell. Many broke down in tears as they viewed her body one by one, coming to terms with her passing and the painful circumstances surrounding it.

How did Alice Riang’a die?

A post-mortem examination revealed that she died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.

Investigations further confirmed that she had been assaulted, making her death even more heartbreaking.

Following probes into her tragic killing, police arrested a suspect believed to have been romantically involved with her.
