APC Primaries: 12 House of Reps Members Lose Return Tickets, including Majority Leader

Several serving members of the House of Representatives failed to secure return tickets during the All Progressives Congress primaries held nationwide ahead of the 2027 general elections. Among the prominent losers was House Majority Leader Julius Ihonvbere, who lost his bid for a third term in Edo State. Four incumbents lost in Imo State, four in Jigawa State, and others in Kwara, Kebbi, and Edo. Defections and zoning arrangements reportedly contributed to the upsets.
