The All Progressives Congress (APC) Appeal Committee in Lagos State has received over 10 formal petitions from aggrieved National Assembly aspirants who rejected the outcomes of the House of Representatives primary elections.
The Eagle Online learnt that six out of the aggrieved aspirants went as far as sending direct petitions to President Bola Tinubu.
They also copied the national leadership of the party, accusing top state officials of undue influence.
The aspirants filed complaints citing widespread irregularities, procedural breaches, parallel claims of victory, manipulation of results, and complete cancellation or lack of voting in specific areas.
Among those who filed petitions are former Lagos APC spokesperson, Oluseye Oladejo (Mushin I), Ayo Adewale (Amuwo-Odofin), Hon. Wale Osun (Lagos Mainland), Kolawole Taiwo (Ajeromi-Ifelodun), Kehinde Bamigbetan (Oshodi II), and Dr. Bakare Isiaka Adeyinka (Epe Federal Constituency).
The Appeal Committee, constituted by the APC leadership to address complaints arising from the primaries is chaired by Hon. Steve Jings, while Dr. Emmanuel Jurte is serving as the Secretary.
The Committee is reviewing the submissions to issue recommendations according to the party’s official guidelines.
