Female entrepreneurs in Nigeria can now apply for up to ₦5 million in zero-interest business funding through the FCMB SheVentures programme aimed at supporting women-led businesses across the country.
In a fresh announcement by First City Monument Bank (FCMB), the bank said the SheVentures initiative is offering fast and flexible loans to help female entrepreneurs meet urgent working capital needs and expand their businesses without the burden of interest payments or hidden charges.
According to the bank, eligible applicants can access loans of up to ₦5 million under the scheme. FCMB explained that the programme was created to empower women-owned and women-managed small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing easier access to finance.
The bank noted that many women-led businesses in Nigeria struggle to secure affordable funding, especially for business expansion, inventory purchases, operational support and other pressing financial needs. Through SheVentures, FCMB said it hopes to remove some of those barriers and help female entrepreneurs scale their operations.
To qualify for the loan programme, applicants must own or manage a business operating in Nigeria. Businesses are also expected to be properly registered in the country before applications can be considered.
FCMB described the initiative as part of its wider commitment to supporting women in business and encouraging entrepreneurship in Nigeria’s growing SME sector. The bank added that beneficiaries will not only gain access to funding but may also benefit from other business support opportunities linked to the SheVentures platform.
