Arsenal’s Max Dowman becomes youngest Premier League title winner

Max Dowman has made Premier League history by becoming the youngest player ever to win the title after Arsenal were confirmed champions following Manchester City’s draw at Bournemouth.

The 16-year-old qualifies for a winner’s medal after featuring in five league matches this season, placing him in the squad’s official title-winning group.

Arsenal will formally lift the trophy after their final-day fixture against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Record-breaking season for Dowman

Dowman’s breakthrough campaign has already rewritten record books. He became the youngest scorer in Premier League history at 16 years and 73 days and earlier made headlines as the youngest player ever to feature in the Champions League at just 15 years and 308 days.

His rapid rise has been tightly managed by Arsenal, with early integration into senior training under Mikel Arteta and controlled first-team exposure across domestic and European competitions.

Rapid rise under Mikel Arteta

Arteta has gradually introduced Dowman into elite environments, including senior training sessions from age 14 and involvement in preseason tours where he featured against top European opposition.

Despite his age, the club has treated his development as a long-term strategic asset, balancing exposure with strict safeguarding protocols, including separate changing facilities in line with Premier League regulations for under-18 players.
