Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Adams reacted to recent school abductions in Oyo State and other violent incidents reported across the region, describing them as part of a growing and coordinated security threat.

He stated that intelligence available to him suggests that criminal networks are expanding their operations across southwestern states, with intentions that go beyond attacks on individuals. According to him, their activities are aimed at creating fear, instability, and widespread disruption.

Adams warned that Lagos State may not be exempt from this emerging threat, insisting that the pattern of attacks indicates infiltration into previously safer areas. He noted that the evolving nature of insecurity in the region shows more organization and strategic coordination among criminal elements.

He stressed that the situation requires urgent and collective action involving state governments, security agencies, traditional rulers, and community-based security structures. According to him, stronger intelligence gathering and local vigilance are necessary to detect and prevent further attacks.

The Yoruba leader emphasized that proactive cooperation among stakeholders remains critical to preventing further deterioration of security in the Southwest and protecting communities from further violence.
