BAT: Over 1.29M People Who Voted For Him Are Angry Because They Refused To Collect Noodles-Kwankwaso

During the interview, Kwankwaso stated, “Over 1.29 million people who voted for him are angry because they refused to collect noodles.” He made the remark while discussing changing voter attitudes and the increasing rejection of vote-buying and material inducement during elections.…....

Kwankwaso explained that many Nigerians who supported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu did so with expectations of improved governance and economic relief, but are now expressing frustration over the country’s current challenges. According to him, voters are becoming more politically conscious and are demanding accountability from elected leaders.

The former Kano State governor argued that the statement reflects a broader shift in Nigerian politics, where citizens are gradually moving away from transactional politics and placing greater value on leadership performance and credibility. He noted that economic hardship and rising living costs have intensified public scrutiny of government policies.

Kwankwaso further stated that many young voters are increasingly determined to protect their electoral choices and reject short-term incentives during campaigns. He maintained that this development is helping to strengthen democratic participation and political awareness across the country.

He also linked the growing dissatisfaction among citizens to ongoing opposition coalition efforts, stressing that political movements within the NDC are positioning themselves as alternatives capable of addressing insecurity, unemployment, and economic instability.

Kwankwaso concluded by urging political leaders to remain responsive to the concerns of ordinary Nigerians, insisting that voters are now more prepared to hold public officials accountable for campaign promises and governance outcomes.
