A major shake-up is reportedly brewing in English football as Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is said to be preparing to leave the club at the end of the current season.
According to reports, the Spanish tactician will bring his long and highly successful spell at the Etihad Stadium to an end this weekend, with his final match expected to be against Aston Villa in the Premier League finale.
Guardiola, who joined Manchester City and transformed them into one of Europe’s most dominant sides, is reportedly ending a decade-long reign that has rewritten the club’s history books.
During his time in charge, he has lifted an astonishing 20 trophies, including multiple domestic cups and league titles, as well as delivering the club’s long-awaited UEFA Champions League triumph.
He also guided City to six Premier League titles, including a historic run of four consecutive league wins — a feat never achieved before in English top-flight football.
Reports suggest the club has already begun informing commercial partners and sponsors ahead of an official announcement expected soon.
While no formal statement has been released by the club or the manager, speculation is now intensifying over what Guardiola’s next move will be after what has been described as a historic era of dominance in Manchester.
