BUA Foods Plc has warned Nigerians against a fake recruitment advert currently circulating online and across social media platforms claiming that the company is recruiting for a “2026 BUA Foods Graduate Trainee Program.”

The company issued the disclaimer in a public notice shared on Saturday, describing the publication as false, unauthorised, and not connected to BUA Foods Plc or any of its subsidiaries.

According to the notice signed by the company’s Corporate Communications department, BUA Foods said it is “not currently conducting the referenced recruitment exercise.”

The fake advert, which has been circulating on different platforms, claimed that applications were open for a graduate trainee programme under BUA Foods for 2026. The publication also listed qualifications, benefits, and application details to make the advert appear genuine.

Reacting to the development, BUA Foods advised members of the public to completely disregard the advert and avoid engaging with individuals or platforms requesting applications, payments, or personal information in relation to the recruitment claim.

“Our attention has been drawn to a fraudulent publication currently circulating online and across social media platforms, falsely claiming that BUA Foods Plc is recruiting for a ‘2026 BUA Foods Graduate Trainee Program,’” the company stated.

“We wish to clearly state that this advertisement is false, unauthorized, and not affiliated with BUA Foods Plc or any of its subsidiaries.”

The company also warned Nigerians to remain vigilant against recruitment scams and impersonation attempts targeting job seekers online.

BUA Foods further explained that all legitimate vacancies and career opportunities from the company are communicated only through its official communication channels and verified platforms.

The company added that it remains committed to transparency, integrity, and the protection of stakeholders and the public from fraudulent activities.
