Troops of the Guards Brigade Garrison have arrested four suspected impostors found wearing military camouflage in Gwarinpa area along Dantata Estate in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Security sources said the suspects were apprehended at about 9:00 a.m. on May 9, 2026, during a routine security operation in the area.
Following their arrest, troops recovered one ballistic helmet, one fragmentation jacket, one dagger knife, two motorcycles, four mobile phones and other sundry items.
The suspects and recovered items are currently in military custody for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Authorities said the arrest is part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on criminal impersonation and other security threats within the FCT..
