Cambodia Ends Visa Waiver for Several African Countries, Orders Foreigners to Leave

The Royal Government of Cambodia, through Official Notice No. 1662/GDI issued by the General Department of Immigration, has announced the end of the visa waiver arrangement for African nationals including citizens of Ghana, Kenya, Cameroon, Uganda and others.

Authorities directed all affected foreigners who have cleared their fines to leave Cambodia on or before 31st May 2026.

The government further warned that from 1st June 2026, any foreign national found illegally entering, staying, or hiding anywhere in Cambodia will be arrested and prosecuted.
