According to reports, the incident happened in Baham, a town located in the western region of Cameroon. The video, which has been circulating heavily on social media, captured emotional scenes of young female students standing in their underwear while teachers and school officials allegedly carried out disciplinary actions against them.
Eyewitnesses in the area said the punishment was given simply because the students arrived late to school. The incident has since generated anger among parents, human rights activists, and many social media users who described the punishment as humiliating, degrading, and unacceptable.
