The Edo State Special Task Force on Anti-Cultism set up by the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo reportedly faced public outrage after operatives allegedly chased a vehicle into a road crash in Edo State.
The incident, which caused tension in the area, reportedly triggered anger among residents and passersby who accused the operatives of reckless enforcement.
Eyewitnesses said the vehicle being pursued lost control during the chase and crashed, drawing a crowd to the scene. The development quickly escalated into mob action as some aggrieved youths and residents confronted members of the task force over the incident.
