Dalhatu used the interview to outline his plans for redefining representation in the FCT, stressing that governance should be more people-centered and built around direct consultations with constituents. He argued that lawmakers should prioritize needs assessments and broader stakeholder engagement rather than unilateral decision-making.

Addressing questions about his chances against established political figures expected to contest the FCT senatorial seat, Dalhatu admitted the challenge ahead but remained optimistic.

“Defeating these political titans may be difficult if I do not have the ticket, but not impossible,” he said while discussing possible contests against figures backed by powerful political structures.

The aspirant pointed to his long-standing involvement in FCT affairs, citing previous roles and grassroots experience as strengths. He also claimed that local youths purchased his nomination form and had already begun mobilizing support for his campaign.

Dalhatu insisted that if given the NDC ticket, a people-powered movement could overcome political heavyweights and reshape the FCT’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 general election.
