The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Benue State Command, says it has deployed one thousand, seven hundred and sixty Personnel across Benue State to ensure public order and safety.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ejelikwu Anebi, states that this proactive move is aimed at the protection of lives, Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.
State Commandant of the Corps, Bitrus Alice Larai, who gave the directive indicated that large congregations are expected at the Eid Prayer Grounds, Markets and Recreational Centres across the 23 Local Government Areas of the State to celebrate the Eid-El-Kabir, scheduled for 27th and 28th May 2026, hence the deployment of personnel to provide security, control crowd, traffic management and emergency response at strategic locations to ensure hitch-free Sallah celebration.
The Commandant enjoins Personnel to be professional, vigilant and dedicated in carrying out this assignment.
She promised to continue to collaborate with other sister security agencies for the overall safety of the State.
