Eid-el-Kabir: Peter Obi Urges Nigerians Not to Lose Hope

Former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has felicitated with Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, calling for renewed faith, sacrifice, unity, and hope for a better Nigeria.

In a goodwill message released to mark the celebration, Obi said Eid-el-Kabir symbolises timeless virtues such as obedience to God, compassion, tolerance, and love for humanity, stressing that Nigerians should use the solemn occasion to pray for peace and national progress.

According to him, Nigeria remains a nation blessed with enormous potential despite the socio-economic and security challenges confronting the country.

He noted that the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir teaches that “after sacrifice comes fulfilment,” urging citizens not to lose hope in the possibility of building a just, functional, and productive nation where no one is left behind.

Obi also called for prayers for security personnel battling insecurity across the country, wisdom for political leaders, and economic relief for Nigerians facing hardship.

He further appealed to citizens to recommit themselves to peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and national unity across religious and ethnic lines.

The former Anambra governor wished Muslims a joyful and blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration, praying that the season would bring peace, happiness, and renewed hope to families and communities across the country.
