The confrontation that resulted in Ngaira’s death is reported to have stemmed from a dispute over a Sh1,000 bottle of whisky.
It is claimed that Mr. Mogaka used a broken beer bottle to slash Mr. Ngaira’s neck, inflicting serious injuries that ultimately led to his death.
Nevertheless, Mr. Mogaka refutes the allegation of using the beer bottle to harm Ngaira, asserting that he cannot account for how the broken beer bottle happened to be in his possession, as he did not utilize it to attack Ngaira.
This case has garnered significant public attention, mainly due to the profile of the victim and the purported cause of the altercation.
Mr Ngaira was a young lawyer whose life had just begun and the fight which cost him his life started from a small argument that turned out deadly.
