In an interview on the MIC ON PODCAST on Saturday, May 23, 2026, Kperogi discussed how voting behaviour across the country continues to shape electoral outcomes.
He said Atiku Abubakar may still enjoy strong backing in Northern Nigeria, but may struggle to secure comparable support in the South. He also noted that Peter Obi’s political base remains largely concentrated in the South-East.
Kperogi maintained that Peter Obi may face difficulty expanding his influence into Northern Nigeria, suggesting that this limitation could reduce his overall competitiveness in a national election.
