Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSA-SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, has congratulated Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat on his emergence as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.
Orelope-Adefulire conveyed the congratulatory message following the just-concluded APC primary election, where Hamzat reportedly emerged as the party’s flag-bearer for the 2027 governorship election in Lagos State.
She described his emergence as a reflection of the confidence and trust party members have in his leadership capacity, loyalty and commitment to service.
In a statement personally signed, the presidential aide described Hamzat as “a fine gentleman” who is diligent in his responsibilities, while commending his political track record and contributions to governance in Lagos State.
Furthermore, Orelope-Adefulire said the leadership and members of the APC in Alimosho Federal Constituency, alongside stakeholders and residents within the constituency, were delighted by Hamzat’s emergence as the party’s candidate.
She noted that his emergence as the sole aspirant, coupled with what she described as the unanimous affirmation by party members, underscored his hard work, dedication, loyalty, intelligence and integrity.
“Your emergence as the sole aspirant of the party and the concurrence affirmation by the entire party members is a testament to your hard work, dedication, loyalty, capacity and the unyielding trust the members of the party have in you to lead with wisdom, intelligence, loyalty and integrity,” she stated.
Orelope-Adefulire described the outcome of the primary election as not only a personal victory for Hamzat, his family and associates, but also a significant achievement for the APC and the democratic process.
As preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general election, she called on party stakeholders, supporters and members to unite and work collectively toward securing victory for the party at the polls.
“Together, we are stronger. Together we are more united and together we are ready in totality to ensure that you become the indisputable Executive Governor of Lagos State,” she added.
She further expressed optimism that Hamzat would sustain the progress and development of Lagos State if elected governor, while praying for divine guidance, wisdom, sound health and success for him throughout the political process and beyond.
