Nigerian designer Veekee James has shared how she was welcomed home after giving birth.
The celebrity designer, via her Instagram page, shared a video of the moment her husband’s family royally welcomed her after 48 hours of labour.
The video captured the moment the new mum entered the house and was caught off guard by their grand preparation. According to her, her husband and her sister-in-law had organised the welcome lady for her.
In the clip, Femi had gifted her designer bags, flowers and many luxury items.

Kemi Filani reported earlier this month that the couple shared the good news with a cute video of them with their new bundle of joy. Veekee said they welcomed their child on the 2nd of May, and she has been christened Eliana Adeife Atere.
On her Instagram page and YouTube page, Veekee shared a video of her newborn’s birth story. The video captured her 48 hours of labour and delivery. The designer said that God took away her fear, came through for her, and gave them their princess.
Following the birth of her daughter, a fan told her to rest, and she responded, questioning whether she had complained to her. She told the public to be ready to be sick of her as she had gotten enough rest.
Last year, Mrs Atere had shown off the gifts her husband had surprised her with for her 30th birthday. In the clip, Femi decorated their bedroom with roses and balloons, and gave his wife a bracelet, a gold necklace, earrings, a ring, a bottle of wine, and more.
Femi was undoubtedly reciprocating the love his wife showered him on his birthday, as Veekee celebrated him with five different surprises, which included a spa date, a visit to a fashion accessory store, a visit to an outfit boutique, and a lunch date.
In an interview with Nancy Isime, the designer opened up about her battle with depression, revealing that she was depressed over reports that she stole her made rounds online of husband from a friend. She said she stayed in her room for two days crying and praying, and God came through for her. Now, she has developed a thick skin to negative comments and trolling.
Veekee tied the knot to Femi Atere, on Saturday, February 10, 2024. As expected, the wedding attracted many celebrities like Juliana Olayode, Eniola Ajao, Osas Ighodaro, Toke Makinwa, Priscilla Ojo, Pretty Mike, and many more. The fashion designer broke the internet by using a team of 200 choir members on her wedding day.
Unfortunately, her wedding was heavily criticised by many, who believed the celebrity designer was doing too much, and Daddy Freeze told Nigerians to allow the newly married rest.
Following their wedding, her husband had gifted her a complete jewellery set from her favourite brand, Swarovski. Expressing joy over the gift, she appreciated her husband and prayed for him.
Not allowing him outdo her, Veekee had raised the bar as she pampered her husband with gifts following. The celebrity designer had gifted her husband a PS5, a game controller, and an Apple Wrist Watch.
During church Thanksgiving, she revealed that he is the best man God has ever given her. She went on to state that he has brought her peace and that he is so humble. She further revealed that she had made the right choice by choosing a man like him.
